Quiet but working hard

I've been silent in the blog world but certainly busy offline. I've been working hard at opening up my Etsy shop, AmSala. Perhaps my biggest obstacle was determining what to do for a shop name. Initially I wanted to use Nine Ten Creative, however in the end I felt this wasn't the correct direction.

Being a designer crosses over into the art world more often than not and this is why I was ultimately confused as to what to do.  So, I took a step back and assessed the direction I wanted to move towards professionally. My design business provides a service, it always has and always will. Its main focus is to provide quality design services to my clients in the form of logo designs, websites and print media. I felt it needed to stay the way it was instead of branching it out into other things.

Now, my shop on Etsy is primarily an outlet for me to express my creative freedom. I'm unable to do that with NTC due to client driven work. (It's all about them & their company needs.) So, I decided to create something entirely new, just for me. AmSala is my artwork shop. Currently you will find my fine art & nature photography. In the future I plan to grow the shop and have ceramic pieces available along with fine art design prints. Featured work at my shop available for purchase is visible at the top right-hand side of this page.

Enough chit, chat go ahead & check out my shop and look at my work! (and maybe buys some prints) And pass my information along to anyone who you might think is interested. I'm continually adding new work, so check back frequently.

And if you're wondering about the name, AmSala, it's an abbreviated version of my name, Amanda Salazar. Not only that, but coincidentally I discovered it's also Old High German for "blackbird." And if any of you know me, you'll know how important my heritage (mainly German) is to me. Plus, it sounds so regal and well, 'me.'
